Turkocentric World Map


This map dates back to the 11th century. It is a map of the belived world, that describes different societies and their spoken laguage. It is interesting, because in the center of the map is the Turkish empire. The map is laid out with the top of the map going east, which shows the caspian sea to the north, Iraq, Yemen, and Egypt to the west, China and Japan to the east, and Hinustan, Kashmir, Cog, and Magog to the south. http://ancientworldmaps.blogspot.com/
